I am a SEDOL Staff member who works in the DHH Program. Do I need to pay for the class?

If you are a SEDOL employee working in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program at John Powers Center or Grayslake North High School, you can attend the classes for free. The DHH Program has professional development funds set aside for ASL Classes. Your registration fee will be covered by that fund. No need to submit for reimbursement. The ASL Class Coordinator will put in the request to access those funds on your behalf.

 

I am a SEDOL Staff Member. Do I need to pay for the class?

No! When you register, please indicate that you are a SEDOL staff member. Professional Development funds will be used to cover the registration fee. There is no paperwork that needs to be submitted by the staff member. The ASL Class Coordinator will complete the paperwork on your behalf. Happy learning!

 

How much does a session of ASL Classes cost?

The registration fee for an 8-week session of ASL Classes is $80.00 for an individual and $160.00 for a family of four then $40.00 for each additional family member.

ASL Classes are free for SEDOL students and their family members. Upon registration, please indicate the name of your student in order to have the registration fee waived.

 

How do I pay for ASL Classes?

Payments are accepted on the SEDOL Foundation website. The payment is considered a donation. Click on the donation drop down menu and indicate ASL Classes. Paypal, credit card, and debit card payments are accepted online. Check and cash payments are also accepted and can be made in person at John Powers Center on the first night of class. Checks should be made out to SEDOL Foundation.

 

How do I register for ASL Classes?

Registration links are accessible on the website. There are three annual registration windows for the Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions of ASL Classes. The Fall session registration window typically opens mid-August and closes the Friday before the Fall session begins. The Winter registration window typically opens at the beginning of December and closes the Friday before the Winter session begins. The Spring registration window opens at the beginning of March and closes the Friday before the Spring session begins.
