For Deaf Can Do It Day, John Powers students got a special visit from Annie, a deaf and blind dog with an incredible story. Annie’s handler shared her journey and read a story to the students, inspiring conversations about resilience and kindness. Afterward, the students rolled up their sleeves to make homemade dog biscuits, which will be donated to a local animal shelter. It was a heartwarming day filled with learning, compassion, and a reminder that no challenge is too big to overcome.
